First consultation

A 60-minute conversation at our Gangnam office or by video call. We listen to your current situation, your retirement income expectations, and your concerns, and give you an honest initial view of whether ongoing planning support makes sense for you. You are under no commitment to proceed.

Ongoing planning support

For clients who continue, planning support is structured as an annual engagement with the following areas worked through in sequence. Fees for ongoing support are confirmed in writing before any engagement begins; we do not publish a fixed fee schedule because the scope varies meaningfully by household.

Retirement income targeting

We estimate the monthly income you want in retirement in today’s KRW, then convert that into a target capital base. The target is a planning figure we revisit each year — not a guaranteed projection.

Savings and investment structure review

We review how your current savings are held — national pension, personal pension, ISAs, bank deposits, funds, direct holdings — and whether that structure is appropriate for the time horizon to retirement and the income target above.

Drawdown sequence planning

The order in which income is drawn in retirement — national pension, then personal pension, then taxable accounts, then housing — changes how long the portfolio lasts. We model the sequence against Korean tax rules and your actual account mix.

Housing, jeonse, and inheritance

Whether to downsize, convert a jeonse deposit to monthly rent, or use housing equity to fund retirement is often the largest single decision in a Korean retirement plan. We approach it without assuming that releasing the home’s value is automatically the right path.

What we do not do

We do not manage discretionary investment portfolios, sell insurance products, or take commissions from any provider. Planning support is fee-for-service. If a client needs discretionary investment management, tax filing, or legal services, we refer to qualified professionals and do not accept referral fees.

Who this is for

Ongoing planning support is best suited to households within roughly 15 years of retirement who want a structured review of their retirement income and savings picture. It is not a fit for households only looking for a single tax filing, a single investment product, or a discretionary portfolio manager — we are happy to refer in those cases.
